Bitlife definition: what "Bitlife" means and examples

February 9, 2026

A popular text-based life simulator game where players make choices from birth to death.

In Bitlife, you start as a baby and choose your education, career, and relationships. It’s known for its dark humour - you can end up as a famous actor or a career criminal. It’s a very simple-looking app but can be quite addictive. Parents should be aware that the game contains references to drugs, violence, and sex, albeit in a text-only, satirical format.

Examples:

  1. "My Bitlife character just became the Prime Minister!"
  2. "I died at age 90 in Bitlife after being chased by a hippo."
  3. "He’s been playing Bitlife for two hours straight."
