Aura Points definition: what "Aura Points" means and examples

February 10, 2026

A metaphorical score of a person's coolness, charisma, or "vibe" at any given moment.

This is the newest way kids "keep score" in social situations. Doing something cool (like a perfect backflip or a witty comeback) gains you Aura Points. Doing something embarrassing (like tripping in public or being "unc") loses you Aura Points. It is a gamified way of looking at social status. If a child says they "lost 1,000 aura," they’ve just done something they find deeply "cringe."

Examples:

  1. "Holding the door for the whole class? +500 aura points."
  2. "I just tripped over my own feet in front of my crush, I'm at negative aura."
  3. "He’s just aura farming by posting those gym thirst traps."
